My friend 26 years male. Few months ago he has diabetes but now controlled without medicine. He has now bilateral kidney stones. 3.3 mm in inferior calyx of the left kidney and 4.4 mm in the middle calyx of the right kidney. How is it possible to dissolve the stone? Now he consult with a nephrologist and he prescribed him alkashot b6 syrup and aquazide 25 and nodosis gst. He is worried about it. Is anything be serious? Pls ans me.

Frankly speaking there is no drug formed in the world till now which can dissolve stone, it will stop progression and prevent new stone to be formed in your kidney I need to go in detail about usg (ultra sonography) report to guide you further and you do not require so much bunch of medications as prescribed by nephrologist according to me.

These are very small renal stones, not to worry if he is not having significant pain. Drink 3-4 litres of water per day, diet modification as per stone type, most common uric acid stones in diabetic patients, watch for uric acid levels. Get urine ph done, if its more on acidic side continue citrate syrup for 3-6 months as prophylaxis. No need of other medications.
