I have been facing this problem since 3 years where I eat some spicy/oily food and it results in chest discomfort along with upper back pain between shoulder blades. It usually happens during night but rarely during day too. I cannot sleep and have to sit or walk to find some comfort. I have read about esophageal cancer and symptoms are worryingly matching. Need some advice if such a thing which is going on since 3 years with same frequency and pain be something really serious? Pain is same since first day and few weeks in between if I do not eat spicy food, it eases a bit, as per my observation.
