I am looking for a way to help my daughter. She is 25 years old and was diagnosed with pcos when she was around 13 years old. We tried laser therapy to help with the hirsutism when she was 15-16. It made the problem much worse and now she has to shave her face daily and at the end of the day you can still notice hair growth. She is so embarrassed that she hasn?t seen a Dr. for her pcos for years. She hasn?t had a period for over 2 years and won?t date because if it. She thinks every Dr. will put her on birth control and spironolactone which has not worked in the past. I have two questions. Can you recommend a specialist in the denver, co area? And are there other treatments that I can tell her about to give her hope? Thank you so much for any help you are able to offer.
