My mom have blood glucose level 369 mg/dl after eating 2 hrs before fasting 222 mg/dl is that she is taking consegna insulin from from 8 days before insulin it was very high sugar but now Dr. Is saying that 6 month have to take insulin is that compulsory and the medicine which mom is using is. 1.inj. Consegna mor. And evening 2.tab azulix 0.5/500 3.tab telsar ch 12.5 mg 3.tab rosuvas 4.tab nurokind next 5.liquid depura. Pls help to off the insulin permanent a nd run the medicine.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. The glucose levels mentioned are too high, even after insulin injection. In a well controlled diabetes patient fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, pp should be 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% <6.5%. In case of your mother considering her age, she has to maintain her glucose levels as mentioned above including hba1c%. When patient has diabetes for a long time the insulin secreting beta cells tend slowly loose their capacity to produce insulin. Hence, progressively there is less insulin secreted. That is the reason patients control of blood glucose is not good only on oral tablets. In such situation there is a need o switch on to insulin along with oral drugs. Many a times once strict glucose control is achieved, insulin can be reduced or discontinued after about 3 to 4 months. But that is not always true. In her case there is a need to look at her weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily physical activity (exercises), dosages of current medications including insulin dosages. Plus bp reading & lipid profile. So you may please come back with all the necessary details preferably in a private conversation so that I con give specific guidance and even prescribe necessary medications. Hello sugar levels are high .. need to be controlled more.. I suggest you to give her Homeopathic treatment Along with insulin. it will help to maintain sugar levels to normal and prevents complications.. once sugar levels are normal we will cut off insulin .. you can consult me online for Homeopathic treatment..no side effects..
