Hi. I had a medical checkup in one of the best hospitals a year back and got a report on ultrasound as below. Right ovary - 3.8 * 2.7 * 3.3 - 18 cc left ovary - 3.7 * 2.6 * 2.6 - 15. 7 cc bilateral polycystic morphology I will have delay of 5-10 days of delay in periods. When I consulted doctor after that. They suggested to have balanced food and exercise. I would like to know whether this is dangerous condition? 1. Is it normal? 2. Is it curable by medicines or treatment? 3. Chances for a big cyst and surgery needed? Please help me.

Hi lybrate-user you have pcod it's common in many female, don't worry like you have a big disease like don't make your weight increase. Treatment vary before and after marraige and you mention report in that it's size of overy not cyst. Poly cystic morphology means many eggs without rupturing and they will be small may be less than 10 mm in there size, as I said it’s treatment depends on your marital status and your menstrual cycle.
