I am taking medicines for bipolar disorder. I am taking medicines for 25 years. But still am not feeling well as I should be. Presently I am taking fludac, 20 mg in morning and lamotrigine100 in night. What changes should I do to be more better.

"not feeling well" is a very non-specific term. If you have features of depression, your dose for fludac might be increased. But, it can't be commented upon here without any consultation with a psychiatrist. Please visit your treating psychiatrist and get an evaluation done.

Any psychiatrist would adjust medications and usually within few reviews the right combination which improves the mood disorder is found. There is nothing called drug of choice or best drug. Dear lybrate-user, please visit your doctor often and discuss the changes you need to make. Both lamotrigine and fludac will be increased according to the assessment on that visit. In bipolar disorder. The mood changes from low to normal and high. At times, even mixed phase will be there. Accordingly the fludac will be increased or stopped, an anti-psychotic may be added for short term. Lamotrigine will be continuous for all phases of mood.
