My wife (age 55 years) has been suffering from gas in the stomach for about last 2 yrs. Allopathic doctors advised pantocid but that gives temporary relief. She takes vegetarian food with minimal oil and mirch, without garlic and two cup of tea with milk per day. Recently (one month) she has started taking pancharisht (zandu). But after some relief, it has again returned. Please suggest ayurvedic treatment for her. Thanks in advance.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Excess upper intestinal gas can result from swallowing more than a usual amount of air, overeating, smoking or chewing gum. Excess lower intestinal gas can be caused by eating too much of certain foods, by the inability to fully digest certain foods or by a disruption in the bacteria normally found in the colon. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
