Sir I am on teneligliptin 20 mg repace50 mg novastat 5 mg for 2 years recent blood test report (31/5/2020) hb1ac 6.1 but fasting sugar is 124 and pps 133 including bed time pps. My doctor has suggested to take pioz 15 after dinner. Can I take pioglitazone as it has safety concerns. I am a diabetic for 11 years. My kidney profile and lipid normal. Urine. Microalbumin creatinine ratio is 0.079.serum creatinine 0.86.on moderate diet, brisk walk 40 minutes. Night food only 3 chappatis. Please suggest as I am concerned for taking pioglitazone.

Hello, it seems like your sugar is well under control which is evident from hba1c value of 6.1. Even other parameters are also normal so you can skip pioglitazone.
