I am of 49 Yrs. When I was 21 Yrs, I had TB which was treated and cured at that time. Now I am having heavy cough. X ray and citi scan shows old TB calcified but the cough is not getting cured. Temporary getting relief when I take antibiotic but no permanent solution. Having cough since last two years. Contacted pulmonary specialist also as per them cough is from the cavity of the calcified TB and providing antibiotic but no long run solution. Please help.

Hi. I understand your concerns. Sometimes the old tb scar can cause bronchitis also. You will need to undergo pulmonary function test which is required to diagnose as well as severity of bronchitis based on which treatment is titrated. You will benefit from inhalers. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.
