My grandmother (88 years old) is getting treated for macular edema & has been injected ozurdex implant. Her doctor has advised her to get this injected after every 3-4 months, or there could be permanent vision loss. Wish to know, if this is the only treatment available for macular edema. As the cost is very hgh 35k/per injection. Kindly advise.
