Entropion is an eye disorder which is related to the eyelids of a person in particular. Under this condition the most common symptom that is clearly visible is the inward turning of the eyelashes. Once the eyelashes have turned inwards, they are bound to rub against the eyeballs and hence cause an overall damage to the affected eye region. People can have this condition either on a temporary or a permanent basis. People with permanent entropion have their eyelids turn inwards always, whereas people with temporary entropion have their eyelids turn inside, when they blink hard continuously or sneeze.
HOW IS ENTROPION DIAGNOSED?
Entropion can typically be repaired with a straightforward outpatient surgical procedure that takes less than 30 minutes.
