I had a polyp removal surgery before one month. As per before surgery usg report I have a small fibroid in the uterus and an endometrial polyp. After surgery biopsy report is normal. However, the bleedings stopped only for two days just after the surgery nad thereafter it's bleeding continuously. My doctor prescribed me tranetranexamic acetate and mefemefamic acid and medroxyprogesterone medicines for five days. However, the bleedings not stops completely. Presently, it seems that I am undergoing periods and its may be the sixth day of my periods and bleedings become lighter. My doctor is advising for mirena inserted. She is saying that as it was endometrial polyp hence, not getting recovered in time. I don't want to go for another surgery. Is there any medicine treatment to get cure from this problem? Please suggest treatment.

If biopsy report is normal you can go for mirena insertion, endometrial polyps have a tendency to recur ,mirena is an progesterone releasing iud ,it will prevent recurrence of polyps and will regulate your bleeding. As progesterone will be released locally where required it's more effective than oral progesterone.

Hi, mirena is an intrauterine device (iud) inserted in the uterus. It is not a surgery. It will be inserted by a gynecologist. It can be kept in the uterus for 5 years. Helps in reducing heavy bleeding and also in preventing pregnancy. What about biopsy report? Is it normal?
