My grandfather had a knee replacement surgery and has not passed stool since 4 days he is diabetic and takes metformin in the morning I gave him looz syrup 1/2 tsp. Is it fine? Thank you.

After the constipation is normal due to numb intestines with epidural pump infusions. Walking with walker sitting more and syp loose warm milk will help. May need emema. Certain pain medicine does this like tramadol injections. Your doctor may help you.
