I feel shortness of breath when go in pollution and also when clouds or raining outside. I have undergone pft test the results are normal. Fvc is 98% and fev1/fvc ratio is 110%. Do I have asthma. My doctor has given me a tablet of asthma supradyn and also a rotahaler. Pft results are very good though doctor gave asthma treatment. Do I have asthma or not?

Bronchial provocation test will give you answer whether you have asthma or not in cases of doubt.

Dear User, Even if pft is normal, it doesn't exclude asthma. Bronchial hyperactivity can be there. Also get your serum ige levels and a dlco done continue medication and follow up with the reports of ige and dlco also manage any underlying acidity or running nose or sinusitis as they can worsen asthma.
