My third upper molar on left side was paining and a root canal process was done in 2003 at Trivandrum. Later the same molar developed pain. Another doctor in Columbia Asia, Bangalore refixed it. Again in 2013 same molar developed pain. I visited three Dentists. All of them say that the root canal fixing is perfect. But I still have pain. First thing 3rd molar root canal treatments are not performed due to poor accessibility, it is only saved when prosthetic manner is needed , therefore I feel its a root canal treatment failure, just search on Google the root canal treatment failures under which conditions they fail , a root canal treatment after done a permanent filling should be done and a crown is placed in any manner these steps r not followed than there is an exact failure.I can only give a best advice is remove the tooth

Generally Root Canal Treatment in wisdom molars, particularly in upper ones is difficult to perform. There are at times more than usual number of root canals. I suggest a CBCT scan of this area to find out any missed canals. Otherwise keeping in mind the repeated problem faced by you, extraction of this tooth is advised.

If rct is fine may be it can be a periodontal problem, pocket formation and pain due to food accomulation. Clearly it can be said on clinical examination and xray. If nothing is working go for extraction.

The third molar on each side is known commonly known as wisdom tooth. Wisdom teeth are usually non-functional molars as they have no role to play in chewing or biting. Firstly, I would advise you to refrain from undergoing any more re-root canal for that tooth as it will give undue stress on the tooth which will eventually lead to extraction. From here on, you have two options. Ask a dentist to investigate for any defects in the underlying bone. If this is the case, the underlying bone should be treated, which will help in complete elimination of the problem. If the bone is fine , you should consider extracting the tooth. As I said earlier, it's a non-functional tooth. As such you will not loose out on any biting functions. Hence, it is an acceptable treatment protocol.

Might be you are having pocket formation in relation to that particular tooth.N due to food lodgement n debris is causing u pain. Go for the radiograph of that tooth. Do u have the capping of this tooth.
