Sir thanks for your kind words. Sir I am taking medicine from 10 weeks and you have mentioned 10 yrs. And I have never taken any therapy. Sir I have decided to take paxil at least for 10 more months. Sir at present I am concerned about taking lorazepam. From last 10 days I have reduced lorazepam from 1 mg to 0.5 mg and I have no problem in sleeping and anxiety. I want to quit lorazepam as soon as possible as I don't want to get addictive. Sir please tell me how long I can take it. I doubt if I quit now as the anxiety would increase. Please reply soon.

Sir kindly take therapy from a counselor to understand the root cause of your anxiety and learn to cope with anxiety creating situations, along with medication. Gradually with better understanding and self awareness you can reduce your medication. Unless you are confident that you can deal any situation without medicines you shall not be able to completely leave them. Hence counseling along with medication is recommended. You are already showing great will power and hence I believe you shall come out of your current situation soon but clarity is required around the causes of anxiety and it's resolution. Dear user if you don't want to take medication for life time then please wake up yourself, medicines are not a perfect solution for mental health, you gave to work on your own, your will power, your mind and thoughts. You are too young. But due to certain reasons if you are on antidepressants you have to take some extra care of yourself. I don't know what are the circumstances under which you are taking medicines, I want to know the whole details about your disorder. But I must say don't depend on the medicines and don���t make it a habit for future. You need counselings session for a better control on this disorder and medicines. Medicines are not the only solution, counselings is a best option for you so that you could better understand yourself and save yourself from the side effects of medicines.
