My wife 55 year old has knee pain. Doctor says she has to go for meniscus repair surgery. If this repair surgery is successful as some doctors opinion it is of no use. Pl advice.

If it is a acute meniscal tear it can be sutured or repaired and if the surgery is the only option depending upon the severity of the condition you have to go for post op rehabilitation physiotherapy exercises where it may a take a time of 4-5 months to heal.
