I am taking tiova inhaler and budecort 200 inhaler for copd. It.causes discomfort in throat. Tongue and surrounding areas even after water mouth wash. It also gives crankles. Over all discomfort in eating and drinking. Will you please suggest some solution to this. Thanks.

This side effects can be due to budecort. Saline gargles rather than just mouth wash may help. If any oral fungal infections, then antifungals will be necessary. Sometimes throat complaints can be secondary to acid reflux. Consult your doctor, if not necessary, budecort may be tapered or stopped. Review to qualified pulmonologist. Consult your doctor from shifting from budecort to lama. Check technique of taking inhaler. Salt water gargle will take care, however if fungal infection present kindly consult your doctor.
