I am 76 year old male with type ii diabetes on insulin (human mustard 30/70) at 18 units at breakfast pp is normal. But pp lunch is very low at around 84, with acute hunger towards evening. Pp dinner is normal because of hypo pp lunch, reduced morning dose to 16 units. But pp breakfast is always above 200. Today it was 245. No hunger towards evening breakfast consists of 100 gm whole wheat flour + 1/4 teaspoon sugar + 1 teaspoon oil + salt please advise how to normalise pp breakfast. Is it necessary to take metformin 250 or 500 gm's.along with insulin before breakfast? Blood sugar tests are with glucose meter.
