Hello Doctor, I am a 22-year-old male. I have no family history of any types of cancer. Around December last year, I had bright red blood on toilet water after a bowel movement. I was straining so hard during that bowel movement. The bleeding didn't happen again. However, I occasionally have soft and hard stools. I don't have any stomach pain. Just now, I had this weird stool shape. Stool shape happened already, maybe around 5 times. Worried it might be colon cancer? Kindly advice.

Dear lybrate-user ji, it may be due to internal haemorrhoids/piles. Piles (haemorrhoids) are swollen and inflamed blood vessels in the rectum and anus. Causes of piles: these include the following: -genetic predisposition (weak rectal veins, walls) -poor muscle tone in the rectal region -constipation, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, -chronic cough, -pregnancy -overuse of laxatives or enemas, -lifting heavy weights habitually. Homeopathic medicines are very effective in management of piles and the symptoms associated with it such as pain, bleeding, itching, etc. Moreover, the condition has high relapse rate following surgical treatment, since surgery does not target the root causes like genetic tendencies, habitual constipation, etc. Homeopathic medicines work at the root level and can modify these genetic tendencies thus reducing chances of relapse and recurrence of the condition significantly. I suggest you to take an appointment for consultation so that detail case can be discussed and rule out the cause and proceed further for treatment. You can consult online. Thank you.
