I am a 33-year-old male I have recurrent boils in my armpit, anus, private part and mouth area these come and go without treatment and usually comes with a fever I have had this for like 5 years now and used various antibiotics without success please what should I do?

Hi, from what you have mentioned, you are having a recurrent bacterial folliculitis (recurrent boils) which is mainly due to infection by bacteria staphylococcus aureus. The main causes of recurrent folliculitis is any one of these underlying medical conditions: 1) iron deficiency anaemia 2) diabetes 3) previous long term antibiotic treatment 4) obesity 5) poor personal hygiene 6) certain immunocompromised conditions like hiv. I would suggest that you take it seriously and get some blood tests done. You can get a cbc, esr, blood sugar - fasting & post lunch, blood hba1c, blood test for hiv and serum cholesterol done. After getting the reports done, a doctor consultation will be required. Meanwhile, you can work on maintaining a good skin hygiene & a well balanced low sugar diet. Hope this helps.
