I used to take my 150 mg of levothyroxine and 20 mg of lisinopril in the morning but a few months ago I started taking both before I go to bed or the same time at night when I am working the night shift. Well last night I did both. I took them at 1: 00 am and then again when I woke up at 7: 00 am. Should I be concerned? Marc.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the query. I am sure when treatment for hypothyroidism was started, (with levothyroxine) there must have been clear instructions about how to take levothyroxine. As the quantity of that medication is in micro grams, it has to be taken on empty stomach. So it is always suggested to be taken early morning before anything else is taken. Then there should be no other medication or even any beverages for about an hour. This is required for its proper absorption. Therefore, I am surprised that you are taking two medications (including lisinopril) together. So first thing is follow above instructions. Do not club those together. As regards taking them as you have done is unlikely to cause any problem. Thanks.
