I'm 19 years old female n sometimes I face knee pain. Is it calcium deficiency or does this have something to do with heirarchy as my mother had arthritis n suffered knee pain too but now she's fully recovered.

Hi lybrate-user, sad that you have pain in young age knee pain depends upon several reasons however your concern arthritis is not possible if you do not have any previous knee surgery or accident or trauma to the knee. Also, calcium deficiency is also rarely occurring at a young age most possible reasons can be 1 any trauma to knee 2. Knee muscle weakness 3. Even with poor footwear or walking habits, I suggest you visit the nearest physical therapy clinic so you have a thorough examination of your problem thank you.
