Hi, There is a lot of contradictory statements over PEP delays the seroconversion over hiv forums, I did Hiv Elisa test post PEP completion (1 month post exposure) however Dr. Says to do one more test after 3 months from last dose of pep (4 months post exposure) What is the exact window post PEP for test? Does pep affect antibody production? Have you seen any cases where person turned out to be positive after 3 months of last pep dose?

Hello. I do not think that theres confusion with drs. First, you please need to understand why nPEP (non post exposure prophylaxis is given, is given, than you will be able to know, why ,which test and when to do is recommended. If some told you to repeat test at 3 and 6 months its from the evidence based expert recommended guidelines. One among them is CDC, Atlanta,USA. One of the most authentic source of guidelines. For more details pl consult any HIV expert. He/ she will tell you the details. Not possible in chat windows.
