Hello sir, can you help me by replying to my question. My question is. I have undergone two times finger prick rapid hiv test at home. The test is conducted by my friend who is dealer of hiv rapid test kits and supplies hiv kits to labs. The test is conducted by the procedure written on the test kit. The test is as follows. First Of all he pricked my finger with lancet and taken blood and then put that blood in hiv cassette and then added two drops of buffer as written on procedure. Then after 15 minutes results was seen. Result was negative as single line came. So can I trust this finger prick rapid hiv test conducted at home. Is this finger prick hiv rapid test accurate. Both times results is negative. Lastly, can room temperature affect rapid hiv test result at home? Because test is conducted at room temperature and kit was also placed in room temperature only before test.
