I have a problem with my speaking sometimes (may slurred and may not have proper pronunciation) .I have start to notice this before 5 years i.e ,after when I remove braces (by removing 4 teeth unusual. Now it becomes my major issue. I can not able to concentrate on my future works. I feel that there is not having enough space for my tongue to move around. I try to speak around with 2 dentist (the one who put braces and another one) both looks and says there is no problem it is your imagination, I think they are not willing to hear my words .they think it becomes a great deal (headache. But I damn sure after the braces only slowly I start to feel this issue. Whats your opinion doctor please help.

What happens when you wear glasses or lenses for the first time? Its just the same feeling of being uncomfortable as your tongue is used to old positions of teeth in your mouth. Speech changes when there is a little spacing but as and when the spaces close you will get adapted and speech will also sound alright.

Yes brace treatment ,specially if it involves moving teeth inwards leads to limits the tongue space. Tongue needs proper space and its tips need proper position for pronouncing some alphabets. Tongue is very powerful muscular organ. If it is facing space problem then it will create the necessary space by pushing your upper and lower front teeth forward and creating space between front teeth. In some patient this tongue tightness causes difficulty in breathing while sleeping, frequent headache etc. If you have more problem then you must consult a orthodontist to reopen your space of extracted teeth or widen your jaw a little with fixed appliance.

You have oly anxiety and the mind related issues and have no serious problem . There is no reason to feel that there is no space
