I am a Diabetic from more than 30 years. Latest FBS 64 mg/dl PPBS 130 mg/dl Microalbuminuria 52ug/mg of Creatinine. Kindly suggest treatment to decrease to normal level.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Long standing diabetes does affect kidneys, particularly the glomeruli. This leads to affection filtering membrane. Microalbuminuria and increased creattinine level are the usual consequences. Achieving a strict blood glucose control and maintaining HbA1c% <6.8 is essential. There is no other treatment. Thanks.
