Present Symptoms: Warm & slight burning sensation groin area (dominant on right side (leg)) diagnosis: Relapse of ringworm symptoms and primarily due, usage of steroid based applications earlier. Past (recent) history: Middle June 18: Burning & itching groin area & red colour ring like formations - diagnosed as ring worm (jock itch) & treatment as - Candid cream & antihistamine + hygiene care. Felt better after a week, however after few days, warm & burning sensation near groin areas. Diagnosed as relapse if jock itch & treatment as From 1st July: Candiforce 200 for 3 weeks, Funzi-mx (steroid based, anti fungal, anti bacterial & anti inflammatory), antihistamine + hygiene care. Felt better after 2 weeks & completed 3 weeks course of medicines---however symptoms of warm & burning sensation resurfaced & same possibly due, using steroid based cream! From 1st week of August for a 5 week period - Candiforce 200, Funzi-L (luliconazole), antihistamine +hygiene care. Further, following tests were conducted (due prolonged use of antifungal tablets) & results found NORMAL / WITHIN SPECIFIED RANGE. Tests as: 1) Blood sugar (fasting & w/o fasting) 2) CBC 3) Blood morphology & differential count 4) SGOT, SGPT & Creatine 5) Vitamin B12 level. I am continuing with my medication (Candiforce 200 tabs, Funzi-L cream) -- however improvement is minimal. My present symptoms, once again as: Warm & slight burning sensation near groin area. Please assist / Sincere regards.

Fungal infection or Ring worm. When occurs in groin, called as jock itch. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds. It's mostly circular or round in appearance. May be red or black in colour. Treatment depending on the type and severity. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it. As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment. So, please send photos of the affected area by direct online consultation for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
