Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned you are taking right medication and if taking for the first time then take it with 100ml saline solution twice weekly. Do few investigations like this [CBC with differential and do a pelvic ultrasound] to know the exact cause of iron deficiency. Do follow lifestyle modifications like this - Take foods rich in iron which include: Red meat, Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Beans, Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, Dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots, Iron-fortified cereals, bread, and pasta etc. Choose foods containing vitamin C to enhance iron absorption You can enhance your body's absorption of iron by drinking citrus juice or eating other foods rich in vitamin C at the same time that you eat high-iron foods. Vitamin C in citrus juices, like orange juice, helps your body to better absorb dietary iron. You can take fruits rich in vitamin C like -Broccoli, Grapefruit, Kiwi, Leafy greens, Melons, Oranges, Peppers, Strawberries, Tangerines, Tomatoes etc. Hope that helps
