My TSH level is 8.16 is it hyperthyroid or hypothyroid & I take thyronorm 75 mcg half tablet daily is it ok.

If your TSH level is high that means you have hypothyroidism. Please continue the medications as prescribed by your doctor.

Thanks for the query. TSH 8.16 mU/L, is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism, there is no treatment advocated at this level. However, if there are troublesome symptoms present then treatment can be initiated. If treatment is advocated it is better to take the whole tablet as half tablet is unlikely to give specific quantity. Thanks.
