How can I stop nexito plus which I have been taking for anxiety medication. My Brain MRI and EEG have returned normal. Does that mean no brain disorders are there .I have been asked to go for retribution therapy and what would be the therapy about. Could some one guide me on this. Does this medicine needs to be taken life long or can it be stopped.

Nexito is a good medicine for anxiety. No problem in continuing. But if you want complete cure .then you need to go to the root cause for anxiety - why you are having. N what kind of anxiety you are having /. To know the root cause you may hve to go to clinical psychologist for psychological e valuation. Via psychological test. Both need to be functioning optimally to do the job. Stopping the Medication Please note that you must not stop this medication abruptly and without a psychiatrist's supervision. It is likely to lead to SSRI withdrawal syndrome which can be serious. Usually these medications need to be taken for a long time as relapse is common. A trial of stopping it maybe done after the patient remains totally symptom free for 6-8 months. BUT pls be WARNED that it must be done after consulting a psychiatrist.
