I am a circumcised male. I do a single unprotected vaginal sex exposure with a girl. Ofter 9 months of exposure I known she is hiv positive. My test result all 1 year post exposure Hiv rna pcr result not detected. Hiv westernblot result negative. 15 months post exposure hiv elisa std panel all negative. 18 months post exposure hiv alere combo test result negative. My questions. 1.what is the hiv window period. 2.some doctors say hiv lay dormant many years ofter become test positive it is true. 3) still 19 months ofter exposure hiv antigen and antibodies test negative. doctor say hiv windowperiod 3 months to 10 years take hiv test every 3 months. Any further test needed. 5. I am fully confused pls say 100% hiv windowperiod. 6.once infected the virus how many months detect in test 100% negative or positive. Pls help I am fully confused pls help me. I am 100% negative?
