I am 18 weeks pregnant, my triple marker test came positive for down syndrome as 1: 70. My double marker was normal. My doc has asked me to do amniocentesis. I have family history of down syndrome in my brothers son who amino test was normal. I am in dilemma to do amino test irrespective of its results. Please guide me to abort baby or wait for amino test.

If the test is positive then it is risky to continue with pregnancy. You will need to decide yourself.
