I am a 26 years old and I don't have any sexual relationship. But I had undergone USG recently and in my report it was written that "large collection of POD-PID may be excluded" - can you tell me the meaning of this? And if I am affected by PID then how it happened? Coz I am not in any sexual relation.

Hi, It is definitely possible to have PID without being in a sexual relationship. It can be a result of poor hygiene or simply from nearby infection like any urinary tract infection. Also if your sugars are abnormal you can get pelvic infection. So it will be a good idea to visit a gynaecologist, get examined, get a vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity done if required and take complete course of treatment for the same. Take care.
