Good afternoon all respected doctors. My age 37 years, weight 50 kg, height 5 feet 5 inch. I have insomnia problems from last 10 years. I am taking mirtazapine 3.5 mg/ clonazepam 0.5 mg (any one from above). Many times I had tried to sleep without medicines but not slept properly. Awake 4-5 times. During day I feel tired/anxious/exhausted. I tried yoga/ pranayam/walking / take milk at night but no improvement in my sleep. During night my mind wondering unnecessarily. However I sleep properly with taken above medicines. I want to know following: - which tablet (mirtazapine/clonazepam) is better and have lower side effects. - will I face any serious problems with these medicines in future if I continue them whole life. - should I need any checkup/tested annually if I take above medicines. Thanks for your valuable advice.

Sleep medicines can become an addiction and there is no medicine with does not have a side effect. Wash your feet before sleep, take hot cup of cow's milk (A2 Pathmeda milk is healthiest) about three hours after dinner, avoid doing active work about one hour before sleeping time but instead read or listen to some divine lectures on your phone before sleeping.
