When I get to know that I have Syphilis, my vdrl was 1: 32. And after treatment it came down to 1: 8. But it's been like 6 months now and y VDRL tests still reactive with same 1: 8. I am terribly scared. I have taken 42 shots of penicillin 1.2 LA till today's date and also took doxicilin oral tablets for many days. But still it's not going down anymore. My career, my family life everything is messed up. I don't understand what should I do. Do I need to go for any other treatment, if it's there. Please somebody help me. What should I do?

Mr. lybrate-user if you have not complication of syphilis then take this measure 1. 2 gm azithromycin only once 2 hours before meal or 2 hour after meal 2. Isolate yourself for sexual contact with infected person 3. Use candom for sexual activity 4. Inform to partner regarding your infection with syphilis 4. Hiv test is essential because you might be hiv +be along with syphilis.
