My Father (70 Years) is a chronic diabetic patient since about 40 years. He is on oral hypoglycemics. Presently taking Trigulin-2 (Glimepiride 2 MG+Pioglitazone 15 MG+Metformin 500 MG) and glucophage 500 (metformin 500 mg) twice daily. His recent HBa1C test is 9.3 which is very poor. I want to know if there is any single dose substitute for these many medications. My Father also takes amlopres-5 once daily. These results are after max control over diet and brisk exercise since ages. Advice on Insulin injections will not be appreciated as it is a psychological trauma to my mother. Any expert advice on oral hypoglycemics and diabetic control in present advanced medicine era will be richly appreciated. Thanking you in anticipation.
