Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Usually diabetes once diagnosed has to be treated for lifetime. It is not cured. It can be very well controlled. But if some is able to consistently maintain the blood glucose levels closer to normal. As in your case, if blood glucose levels remain normal without any medication for a considerable time, (a fortnight or so) we might then consider stopping the medication. Thanks.
