Hello I have induced anxiety in hospital situations since childhood (severe case of health concerned anxiety, I also have a previous history of counselling for the same, when the doctor puts on the strap of the bp machine my heart starts pounding and I get butterflies in my stomach, I have told this to him too. This happened when I was subjected to an ECG as well (my heart was pounding throughout the process), which came out to be normal with 110 bpm. My blood pressure during one such situation was measured to be 140/90. No one in my family has blood pressure. I am 26 years of age and over-weight. I don't eat junk food, eat lots of vegetables but very little fruit. This is bothering me a lot and I don't know what to do. Do I have hypertension and should I take medications to reduce the same?
