I am suffering from CAD I have undergone angioplasty is sildenafil 20 mg safe for me.
Yes it is safe for you unless you are not taking nitrate tablets. If you take both tablets together it may be life threatening. It's better to consult your cardiologist before starting sildenafil tablet. Your doctor could review all your medications and can make proper decision.

Hello I have induced anxiety in hospital situations since childhood (severe case of health concerned anxiety, I also have a previous history of counselling for the same, when the doctor puts on the strap of the bp machine my heart starts pounding and I get butterflies in my stomach, I have told this to him too. This happened when I was subjected to an ECG as well (my heart was pounding throughout the process), which came out to be normal with 110 bpm. My blood pressure during one such situation was measured to be 140/90. No one in my family has blood pressure. I am 26 years of age and over-weight. I don't eat junk food, eat lots of vegetables but very little fruit. This is bothering me a lot and I don't know what to do. Do I have hypertension and should I take medications to reduce the same?

Mr. lybrate-user Your history suggestive of phobic anxiety which needs Psychiatrist consultation. Please do visit and don't hesitate to tell him all about you. One reading doesn't qualify as high BP. It's better to consult physician once you have a session with Psychiatrist. Your weight is high for your height. Eat lots of fruits and go for exercise. Meet dietician to loose your body weight.

It's always better to take your BP medication early in the morning as soon as you get up from the bed. Cholesterol medications are preferably taken in the evening. Avoid taking too many tablets of BP medicines without advice from your physician. Check your BP regularly and dose of medication should be adjusted after consulting your doctor. Don't do it on your own. High dose of BP medication will cause low blood pressure and they have their own adverse effects so be careful in future.

Mr. lybrate-user, Check your blood pressure frequently. Make changes to your life style. Include lots of fruits and vegetables in your meals. Go for physical exercise at least 30 minutes per day. As far as medications are concerned meet your physician and check your BP and let him decide if you need medication to control blood pressure. Don't neglect.

Mr. lybrate-user High Blood pressure can be controlled not only by medications but also by regular exercises, healthy diet. Ask for help from your doctor regarding this. Thyroid problem needs evaluation and some patients may need life long therapy. Cholesterol problem may be caused by Thyroid illness. If you control Thyroid illness your mother may need not to take cholesterol medication. Again exercise and proper diet helps in controlling cholesterol issues.
