Although it's a sensitive test but, the recommendations are to get tested by Rapid HIV 4 generation test at four weeks and if the result is Negative get a confirmatory HIV Antibody test at three months. For HIV 1 DNA 22 days is more than enough. Hiv2 is present in India, but is rare. 1-2% are purely HIV 2, 1-2% are HIV 1+2. It can be transmitted in single sex, but chances are much less. HIV 2 is less transmissible than HIV 1. For any further information please take a private consult.
