At times while I am lying when I try to spread my legs, sudden pain rises in back muscles of my leg in the part which lie below knee. It usually stays for less than a minute, but it's quite painful and it strikes me frequently only when I am lying and try to spread my leg. Now it has been a long time since I am suffering from this issue. Through recent test I got know about high blood pressure and since long I have thyroid issue for which I take medicine.

Probably it might due to the increased blood pressure as you said. Generally rise of BP might leads to sudden onset of pain it could be anywhere from head to toe. Consult a physician the home remedy would be go to bed early sleep for 10 hours regularly and take nice fruits and drink more water especially while going to bed, before taking bath and before entering into any physical activity.
