Hallo. I am 21 year old. I have extreme Problem of dreams. When I wake Up, I feel tired and coz of dreams. It seems Like, have to sides. One is reality, and other is after sleep into dreams. I see in my dreams things ,what I do not think or do when I do not sleep. It increases when I take myself time. But I tried to be Busy but nothing changed. Is it normal or any Problem?

Hi lybrate-user, Thanks for posting your query on Lybrate. There are 2 phases in sleep. REM and NREM. NREM is considered deep sleep. Dreams occurring during NREM sleep cannot be remembered when we awake. Whereas dreams occurring in REM sleep, the duration of which is more during later part of sleep can be remembered. In your case, it looks like there is more of REM sleep and since you feel tired after waking up. Definitely your sleep should be improved with medication. But sleep disturbances are common in many psychiatric disorders and in other physical illnesses. Sleep disturbances may be just one symptom of many other so, I suggest you do get evaluated to rule out other causes and take appropriate treatment. Regards.
