I have had a 16 week MTP as the baby had Trisomy 18 (my age is 40 years) However my belly looks the same as it was when I was pregnant. Please advice if I can wear one of the maternity belts, will it help in reducing belly fat. Do I need to make some changes in my food habits etc. I am feeling a bit weak now as my ankles are swollen. Is this normal. Should I start walking for 15- 20 minutes everyday. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your termination. Maternity belt will not reduce your fat ,it will just provide support. You can go for regular walks and after 6 weeks of termination can start abdominal exercises ,to tone your abdominal muscles You should eat a healthy balanced diet and avoid fat. If there is swelling over your ankles take salt restricted diet and consult doctor.

It takes 2-3 months at come back to normal after 16 wks MTP due to blood loss. Take good balanced diet and walk at least 20 -30 minutes, you will be alright.

Hi, mtp of 16 wks is as good as a normal dilevary so first you need take good rest for at least 3wks also watch your deit it should b lot of proteins and calcium add milk n lot of fruits green veg to your diet using maternity belt would b heelpful n last but not least mild excersice (yoga )to strenthend your abdomenal musles this would help you to reduse your abdominal girth.
