Diabetes reduces blood supply to the lower extremities, in addition due to diabetic neuropathy sensation also is affected. This can lead to a number of problems with feet. One of them could be repeated corns if ill fitting foot wear are worn or pressure points develop on the soles. Therefore he should use properly fitting foot wear, have a strict sugar control and examine the feet daily and seek advise if any problem arises.
