I had acne at the age of 17 And now I am 18 Nw I do not have pimples and I have cleared it up but I have ist acne red marks /hyperpigmentation on right cheek on the entire face I have only hyperpigmentation. One of my friend suggested me to use skin shine can i.use it on my skin to remove redness?

Skin shine cream is a combination of hydroquinone and steroid both of which should not be used unless advised medically. Such skin lightening agents have lots of side effects when used on normal skin. Long term use of steroids can cause infections, acneiform eruption, atrophy, etc. Long term use of hydroquinone can cause exogenous ochronosis. Kindly avoid such creams for skin lightening. It must only be used for hyperpigmentation when indicated. Black spots and scars can be easily removed with lasers and peels along with medicines prescribed by a board certified dermatologist.
