Sir, I have been suffering with high BP, I am age around 39 years taking medication since 4 years as EMBETA AM 50, mainly my diastolic pressure is around 90, how can I reduce my diastolic pressure gradually.

Along with medications it is also important to make lifestyle changes like - 1) daily brisk walking for 40-45 mins. 2) Eating a healthy diet (please consult a dietician for a cardiac hypertensive diet) 3) Avoid drinking too much caffeine or tea. 4) Quit smoking (if you do) 5) Limit yoour alcohol intake 6) Avoid eating high salty food like chips, namkeens, papads, chutneys, pickles etc etc 7) Try to reduce day today stress in your life and remain in follow up of your treating physician. This should help.
