Had forearm fracture and fixed it with surgery by nail in the radius now 1 and half months over and cast is removed but after removing cast I feel pain in thumb finger and unable to bend it. And wrist also pain. What should I do I am very fear that whether my hand can't work as before. Please help me out. 0 Doctor Answered.

After removal of cast exercise needs to be done Do ball squeezing activity multiple times a day Keep your hand in warm water adding salt to it twice a day Take a cloth & do table wiping activity If you have door knobs at home then you can do closing & opening activity with door knobs or you can make use of rolling pin (belan), hold one end of belan in your hand & another end must be held by some other person, now do the forearm rotation activity; only forearm should move elbow & shoulder must be stabilized If swelling is evident then do retrograde masaage; gentle massage with fingertips
