Me and my Uncle have taken up to having KARELA juice (bitter gourd). The problem with having that juice is it is giving us cold. I have not tried adding pepper or jaggery or honey in it. Started off with having it plain. And I am okay with having it plain. So what do we put in the juice. As my Uncle is a Diabetic. Please do not suggest anything that is sour. Help me with something that will be beneficial for his diabetes. Thanks.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query Karela juice has been used as a possible treatment in controlling blood glucose. However, there very little clinically supported authentic data available, substantiate these claims. So from my point of view there is hardly any benefit in a diabetic person by taking it. Still people use it because of general belief. So you may continue using it. Thanks.
