Chicken is the highest quality protein available and it could be taken throughout the day i.e. Pre workout, post workout, lunch or dinner. But since it takes 11/2 hr to 2 hr to digest I would suggest timing it properly. Boil chicken for Pre- Workout it takes around 2 hr to digest I would suggest eating it at least 1 hr before workout so that it will provide you energy and protein for muscle building during the workout. But if you take it half hr before workout you might feel it heavy on your stomach and it will disturb your workout. But still I would suggest you to have some simple carbs along with boil chicken. Good examples of simple carbs – Banana, dates, any fruit or 1 tsp honey. Boil chicken for Post – Workout After workout you need instant energy as well as you want protein faster into your muscles to stop the muscle breakdown as well as repair it. Boil Chicken for Lunch or dinner Boil chicken is best for lunch and dinner. The only catch is to include some complex carbs such as multi grain/oats bread or chapatti in the lunch with chicken. In the dinner take carbs only in the form of salad along with chicken eat egg white omelette as a post workout meal. And I eat boil chicken in the lunch. In the dinner I usually take paneer and eggs. Paneer provide protein throughout the night since casein protein digest very slowly.
